This
StreamTV has been designed by applying a maximum of eco-design rules to reduce the volume of digital data transferred and thus reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
The rules implemented here are the following :
Integration
- Adaptive streaming
- Playback bitrate rate limitation
- No automatic start of the videos
- No suggestions for "videos you might like"
Video production and management
- Adaptation of the quality (resolution and frame rate) to the nature or destination of the contents
- Control of publications, especially the possibility to archive or delete them at any time
- Number of encodings limited to what is strictly necessary

Streamlike's administration console details the daily volumes of GHG emitted by the servers, networks and terminals for broadcasting the videos of this webTV. Thus, it is possible to monitor their evolution and to know the volumes of CO2 that will be sequestered by the planting of trees.
Note that the datacenter hosting the WebTV and all videos is carbon neutral.
